Looking ahead to all the festivals hitting the city this summer.
When the semester draws to a close and everyone scurries away back to their hometowns, all that remains are the few souls stuck on campus with nothing to do. The fear of boredom for the next three and a half months grows as summer inches closer, but don’t chalk up this summer as a loss just yet.
Columbus has a slew of summertime festivals and events coming up and I did some digging to make sure your summer doesn’t go by the way of boredom. With everything from beer to free food and more beer, Columbus will keep your interests peaked while you sit back, relax, and enjoy this blissful summer.

The 1st Annual Columbus Taco Fest
May 19, 2018 • Genoa Park
There’s not much in this world that is better than a good taco and when a festival dedicated to strictly taco food trucks comes to town, we are emptying our bank accounts so we can stuff our faces as much as humanly possible. Toss in taco eating contests, chihuahua and non-chihuahua dress-up contest, and some local bands and DJs cranking out tunes and you’re in for a helluva fiesta.

Maybe listening to smooth jazz and chowing down on beautiful BBQ ribs sounds like an odd juxtaposition to you, but don’t knock it till you try it. Just enjoy all those ribs until your stomach bursts then sit back and let the sweet sounds of sax drive you into a nice afternoon food coma.
