South Campus Taco Bell Responds to Penn State’s Tragic Restaurant Closing

Real recognize real. We may not be the biggest fans of the trash cats up in Pennsylvania, but OSU knows all too well the pain of a losing a beloved go-to for drunk food on campus.

Over the weekend, Penn State students held a candlelight vigil to honor the passing of their campus Taco Bell.

Matt Arthur, a Taco Bell chief executive officer representing Ohio State’s south campus location, provided 1870 with this quote: “Taco Bell of Ohio State joins the entire Big Ten family of Taco Bells and offers its condolences to the taco lovers of Penn State.”

Students are grieving in their own ways. Some attending that night sang Sarah McLachlan’s soul-crushing hit, “Angel,” while others are tagging President Trump on Twitter asking what his plan would be to combat Taco Bell losses if given another four years in office.

According to Facebook, the event’s organizer, Prajesh Patel, was a former computer science major at Penn State, proving that despite what the entire world has to say, STEM majors are contributing to society in a meaningful way.

We salute your work, Prajesh, and offer our own condolences to the students of Penn State.
