Ohio State up to No. 16 in New AP Poll

As of this writing (Nov. 26, 2018) Ohio State men’s basketball is up to No. 16 in the AP Poll. Sixteen. Is it safe to say that Ohio State basketball is back?

From ESPN:

1. Gonzaga (32)
2. Kansas (31)
3. Duke (1)
4. Virginia (1)
5. Nevada
6. Tennessee
7. Michigan
8. Auburn
9. Michigan State
10. Kentucky
11. North Carolina
12. Kansas State
13. Virginia Tech
14. Iowa
15. Florida State
16. Ohio State
17. Texas
18. Oregon
19. Purdue
20. Texas Tech
21. Buffalo
22. Wisconsin
23. Villanova
24. Maryland
25. Mississippi State

Last week, Ohio State entered the AP Poll at No. 23, but after two more wins (and still no losses!) last week, the AP voters are starting to take notice of Chris Holtmann’s squad. C.J. Jackson and Kaleb Wesson continue to lead the squad while meaningful contributions come from everywhere on the court—like grad-transfer Keyshawn Woods, freshman Duane Washington, Jr. and sophomore forward Kyle Young.

Other notables from the latest AP Poll: Gonzaga leapfrogged both Kansas and Duke to take the No. 1 spot, Michigan moved up to No. 7 from 9, and the Big Ten is still dominating the poll with 7 teams in the top 25.
