With 44 million Americans living with student debt, today’s generation of college students is getting more and more creative when it comes to making that money in college. One popular solution? Finding a sugar daddy.
According to SeekingArrangement, the world’s largest Sugar Dating site, today there are “over three million Sugar Baby students in the U.S.”
After holding an interview with a campus sugar baby back in December, we at 1870 learned that your account is essentially verified by putting in your college information. This way, our guest explained, it confirms that you’re not cat-fishing someone about being in your late teens or early 20s.
Topping the list with 2,724 sugar babies using the platform, is Arizona State. Following close behind them is Indiana University (1,540) and New York University (1,507).
Our own beloved Ohio State University holds spot #23 on the list with 998 registered sugar babies. However, the highest ranking in the state of Ohio is Kent State University at spot #11 in the country with 1,159 students on SeekingArrangement. Columbus State Community College also holds spot #11 in the Community Colleges category with 272 students.
It’s easy to understand why so many students choose finding Sugar Daddies and Mommies as a part-time job; according to SeekingArrangements, Sugar Babies’ average monthly allowance can be over $3,000.
At the time I’m writing this, SeekingArrangement’s Student Debt Clock is at $1.6 trillion, and rapidly growing by the thousands every second.
