Man fends off deer with frisbee at Glacier Ridge Metro Park

You’ve seen a man square up with a kangaroo like he was Muhammad Ali. But that was Australia. That happens every day.

Rather than resorting to fisticuffs, Dayton-native Jacob Smith took a more civil approach when an angry deer charged him at Plain City, Ohio’s Glacier Ridge Metro Park: he pelted the animal in the head with a frisbee.

Columbus and Franklin County Metro Parks posted a video of the confrontation to its Facebook page Tuesday, and the clip has amassed nearly 150 thousand views as of writing this.

Deer at Glacier Ridge disc golf course

A deer became a bit agitated at Glacier Ridge this week. No one was injured and visitors were in the proper area. During fawn rearing season, deer are typically secretive but on occasion, when they feel a threat to their young, can be aggressive. More than likely, the fawn(s) were nearby. We have closed the wooded section of the disc golf course and put up signage on the trail.Disclaimer: This video contains some strong language which may be unsuitable for children and others.

The Metro Park warned that deer can be aggressive if they feel that their young are being threatened. The Park has now closed off a section of their disc golf course.

Moral of the story: If you mess with mother nature, she might fuck you up.
