High Street is THE place to be. Sure, you venture off here and there. You take a walk to Summit, you go to class sometimes, whatever. But as college students, we spend a lot of time roaming up and down High Street looking for food and drinks. And more drinks.
It can get old throwing back bombs and bull’s and getting beers at big bar all the time, so hopefully these are a nice change of pace.
So I rounded up three spots that are definitely worth checking out on a college student-sized budget.
Here’s what you need to know: Deals as cheap as dollar beers and five-dollar pitchers AND it’s education themed. It’s a college students dream. You can see all the specials here, but I’ll pick out a few of my favorites to save you a click.
- $3.75 pitchers of PBR (!!!) on Mondays
- House liquor for $1 on Tuesdays
- Mug Night on Wednesdays after 9, featuring $2.50 full mugs and $1.75 refills
- Miller High Life bottles for $1.50 on Thursdays
- PBR and Natty Light pitchers for $4.25 on Fridays
This is one that I learned about only recently, and I am JONESING to try it out. From 4-9 p.m., you can get a 16-inch pizza and a pitcher of beer for $19.99. Yes, you’re reading that correctly. Damn good pizza and a pitcher of beer for $20.
For a taste of the high life, stop on in to Forno. It’ll let you feel fancy while stuffing your face with HALF-OFF PIZZA Monday-Friday 4-6 p.m. Oh, and if that’s not enticing enough, there’s half off glasses of wine, draft beer, and all bar snacks. Count me in to get drunk on Fridays as soon as 4 p.m. hits. Not like I have anything better to do!
