While “Avengers: Infinity War” is sure to still be on everyone’s minds, even in it’s third week in theaters, here is the new set of movies coming to Gateway this upcoming weekend.
RBG – May 10
This documentary on the life of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, the second-ever female Supreme Court Justice, comes to theaters looking to put some respect on one of the most important and respected faces in female empowerment. The Notorious RBG’s career work is put on display in this film by Julie Cohen and Betsy West.
Terminal – May 11
Margot Robbie starts in this crime drama that takes place in a wildly unique city with a lot of flair. Simon Pegg and Mike Myers join this impressive cast, with the film centering around two assassins who have a mission that gets intertwined with the lives of many others.
Measure of a Man – May 11
Starring Judy Greer, Luke Wilson and Blake Cooper, this coming-of-age story focuses on a teenager’s summer that transforms him into a man. A look into bullying, love and conflict, this movie hopes to tell it’s story with a strong mix of heart and comedy.
Lu Over the Wall – May 11
A Japanese anime film directed by Masaaki Yuasa, “Lu Over the Wall” is about a mermaid that has the ability to make people dance. She comes ashore and meets Kai who come together to make a rock band. This vibrant, original story brings a promising energy to it, and looks to please fans of Yuasa’s previous work.
The Changeling – May 11
Considered by many to be a true horror classic, this 1980 film comes back to the big screen this weekend at Gateway. Directed by Peter Medak and starring George C. Scott, the film is based on the true story of Russell Hunter’s experiences of being haunted while living in a mansion in Colorado.
