The NeverEnding Story – June 22
This 1984 film centered around a boy who reads a magical book about a young warrior who is meant to stop a force called the Nothing from engulfing a mystical world is making its return to Gateway. A childhood classic and part of Gateway’s From Book to Film series, this is one to check out, even if just for the nostalgia.
American Animals – June 22
A heist film centered around four college boys who attempt to pull off a crime of a lifetime, “American Animals” looks to be full of fun and full of intensity. Starring a cast full of up-and-coming stars with Evan Peters, Barry Keoghan and Blake Jenner, this movie should show what each of them can do, while also telling a very interesting true story.
Child’s Play – June 22
Join Gateway for the 30th anniversary of this horror film about a sadistic doll that is possessed by a serial killer. “Child’s Play” is sure to make you terrified of any baby doll that you may have owned, and, even 30 years later, the thrills, and the performances, especially by Brad Dourif as Chucky, are still worth seeing in theaters whenever possible.
