Every Buckeye knows by heart the power of service. With school-wide events like MLK Day of Service and the ever-popular BuckeyeThon Dance Marathon, students are constantly looking for opportunities to get involved and serve the greater Columbus community.
If you need those this summer, Stonewall Columbus is looking for volunteers to work this year’s pride parade. With 37 years of pride under their belt, Columbus just knows how to do it. 200 contingents are registered to strut their stuff in the parade, from small businesses to non-profit organizations to political activists. Not to mention, this year’s Grand Marshal: Nina West.
Stonewall’s 38th Annual Pride Parade will be held June 14-16 downtown, and the volunteer dates are open June 13-15. Some positions like alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage service still need over 100 volunteers each, but other opportunities are still available besides those.
