BuckeyeThon Raises $1.7 Million

BuckeyeThon, one of campus’ biggest orgs and organizers of a 24-hour dance marathon, raised just over $1.7 million dollars for charity.

The number is a little over $100,000 more than the org raised last year for charity, and a reminder of the immense giving power that a big group of Ohio State students have.

From The Lantern:

“When you join BuckeyeThon you really are joining a family, and it’s made Ohio State so much smaller than it actually is,” [Vice President of Advancement Tori] Weiner said. “The relationships that I’ve made with people that I’m on the executive board with and families I’ve formed a relationship with are really what’s going to last and make me keep fighting for pediatric cancer.”

I think it goes without saying, our hat is off to BuckeyeThon and all the great people who contributed to their immense 2019 total.
