Need a few more credit hours? Don’t fill it with some boring science class. Add those hours by taking something fun. We rounded up a few possibilities for you to make it as easy as possible.
MEDREN 2666 – Magic and Witchcraft in the Middle Ages and Renaissance
A legitimate class that takes a look at magic and witchcraft. Sign us all the way up. I wonder if the final spell is casting a hex on that professor from last semester who gave you a C-?
(If you go to add this class right now, you’ll be waitlisted, but it still might be worth the wait considering it’s fucking magic)
PHILOS 2465 – Death and the Meaning of Life
This is for all of you that stay up until 3 a.m. and stare at the ceiling and just think to yourself “but what does it all mean?” 1) get some melatonin to help you sleep and 2) sign up for this class. It’s one of the Philosophy department’s more popular courses, but there are 5 sections of it, two of which are still open. Get your ass to Buckeyelink and figure out what everything in your life actually means.
HCS 2501 – Basic Golf Club Design And Repair
Special shoutout to CHAD from That One Frat who is always golfing on the weekends yet always manages to need a new 9-iron. Take this class, learn how to fix his club and you’ll always be invited to his parties. Plus you can probably figure out how to make a special driver that hits a golf ball, like, 1,000 yards and make a killing hustling driving ranges, just like in Happy Gilmore.
LING 3502 – Klingon, Elvish, Dothraki: The Linguistics of Constructed Languages
Here’s the course description for this class:
Constructed languages like Klingon, Elvish, and Dothraki may seem like the province of ComiCon goers, but they have a long and varied intellectual history. Constructed languages required a deep understanding of both the mechanics of languageand how languages relate to the cultures that they come from. This course examines the linguistic complexity of constructed languages.
Here’s what it would say if I wrote it:
IT’S A CLASS THAT LOOKS AT HOW LANGUAGES FROM STAR TREK, GAME OF THRONES AND OTHER SCI-FI STUFF WORKS. TAKE THIS CLASS
I think that sums it up.
