One of the most critically-acclaimed franchises, a combination between Bugs Bunny and Michael Jordan and another dive into the stardom of women’s wrestling. Here are three of the biggest things coming to Hulu, Amazon and Netflix in June.
The “Lord of the Rings” Trilogy – June 1
Rick and Morty: Season 3 – June 23
IT – June 30
Hulu brings in one of the most perfect trilogies of all-time at the beginning of the month with “Lord of the Rings,” three films that follow Frodo Baggins and his quest that includes dwarves, elves and little creature named Gollum. Following that is the most recent season of the highest-IQ shows around, “Rick and Morty.” At the end of the month, Hulu is bringing the ridiculously successful horror-comedy “IT.” This month, we float, too.
Space Jam – June 1
Lady Bird – June 3
Westworld: Season 2 – June 24
Kicking off the month for Amazon Prime’s streaming services with a cinematic masterpiece, an absolute tour de force in the form of “Space Jam.” If seeing Michael Jordan and Bill Murray team up against the Monstars just isn’t enough for you, then two days later you can watch one of the most acclaimed movies of 2017, Greta Gerwig’s beautiful coming-of-age film, “Lady Bird.” At the end of the month, Amazon will also have the entire second season of “Westworld” available to stream on it’s prime services.
Luke Cage: Season 2 – June 22
GLOW: Season 2 – June 23
Thor: Ragnarok – TBD
Two major Netflix originals make their way to Netflix this month in the form of Marvel’s “Luke Cage,” and the Alison Brie-headlined “GLOW.” Both shows were incredibly successful in their debut seasons, and they look to continue the hot streaks this month. The third, and easily the best film in Thor’s MCU run is expected to make its way to Netflix at some point this month, though no release date has been specified.
