The Queso of Columbus: The Most Liked and Disliked in Town

When categorizing queso, there is countless criteria to be met, especially depending on your individual preference. Many Columbus locals and Ohio State students have voiced their preferences, and we listened!  This list of “most liked and disliked queso” was made by the people for the people and should be a guide to eating your way through the city.

If you’re looking for authentic queso—creamy, thin, white or yellow colored, actually tastes good— Columbus locals have quite a few recommendations for you.

The Most-Liked Queso of Columbus (in order):

  1. Cuco’s Taqueria
  2. Cazuela’s Grill
  3. Condado Tacos
  4. El Vaquero Mexican Restaurant
  5. Plaza Mexican Grill

If you prefer “fake” queso – orange colored, processed cheese flavored queso, or the “queso” that is just stiff melted cheese destroying the namesake of delicious queso – Columbus local dished out some recommendations for you, though they categorize these as their “most disliked” queso vendors.
