Despite not having Jared Sullinger, who dominated last round, available, No. 1 Scarlet & Gray took down No. 12 Primetime Players 72-60 to advance through the Super 16. Without Sullinger to dominate on both sides, Aaron Craft turned in a fantastic performance with 13 points, nine rebounds and six assists to propel the Ohio State alums to victory.
If you’re really feeling like it’s 2012 all over again, just wait until 3 p.m. today. Not only will Sully be returning, but the No. 1 seed will be taking on No. 2 Team Fredette, who is led by, you guessed it, Jimmer Fredette. Fredette, who’s known for his insane (see: Jimmer) range, has been an offensive powerhouse in pretty much every game he’s played in, including dropping 41 points against the Fort Wayne Champions in the Super 16.
Excited for more TBT action? Catch S&G against Team Fredette on ESPN today. It’s a 3 p.m. tip and bound to be one of the most exciting games in the tournament.
The winner of the game will advance to face either Boeheim’s Army (Syracuse alumni) or Golden Eagles (Marquette alumni).
