Dove recently released an ad that was seen as racially insensitive, as it displayed an African American woman using the product and then becoming white because someone thought that would be totally fine and not at all racially insensitive.
Regardless of your own personal opinion regarding the ad, one thing can be certain: it has given hippies yet another reason not to shower.
Hippies generally lean liberal and maintain hairstyles (in all parts of their bodies) that make showering semi-optional. Thus, when dove released racially offensive ads, they ignited another social movement: the continuance of dirty hippies.
Not saying that dirty hippies all use Dove—many use more natural products—but since a racially insensitive ad was posted by a soap company, the war on soap may become a real thing.
