The Basketball Tournament, a 5-on-5 tournament loaded with former collegiate hoops stars, just got a little more exciting for Buckeye fans. The Ohio State contingent – lovingly named Scarlet & Gray – has added big men Jared Sullinger and Greg Oden to its team.
Neither of the big men had quite the NBA career that many Ohio State fans had hoped for, but that doesn’t mean that they can’t win over the hearts of Buckeye Nation with performances in TBT, much like Jon Diebler and Aaron Craft did all over again with their performances last year.
And that’s not to say that those other players are gone. Sullinger and Oden will join an already stacked roster featuring Craft, Diebler, David Lighty, Byron Mullens and William Buford. In addition, the team is coached by Scoonie Penn and Evan Turner will be an assistant coach for the team. If its anything like last year, expect Scarlet & Gray to make it far into the tournament, and perhaps even win the whole thing.
