Dick’s Den is nestled between an off-brand-looking tattoo parlor and an alley High St. just North of campus. It’s a dark, dingy place with a long narrow bar and not many drinks to speak of but around the corner, fine bluegrass music is played every Tuesday. The small, only slightly elevated stage hosts several musicians- so many that it almost looks uncomfortable to them. From banjos to washboards to mandolins to fiddles, the bands Dick’s Den reels in will make you miss the old covered wagon days that you weren’t even a part of.
The musk, the nostalgia and fun-loving crowd on Tuesdays converge for a sweet escape from the hustle of High St. and every day life.
