Pattycake Bakery reigns supreme for chocolate chip cookies in Ohio.
Whenever a major media corporation reports on each state’s best food option, it always seems like Columbus gets overshadowed by other cities like Cleveland or Cincinnati. But when it comes to the best damn chocolate chip cookie in the state of Ohio, you can find it right here in the heart of Columbus right on High Street.
According to Cosmopolitan’s Snapchat roundup of each state’s best chocolate chip cookie, Pattycake Bakery takes the cake (or cookie, if you will) for Ohio. Citing a Yelp review from Elli M, the cookies were described as “thick with gooey chips and just the perfect amount of moisture.” But here’s the best part, Pattycake Bakery is a completely vegan bakery so not only are these cookies absolutely delicious, they use zero animal products to make them!
Honestly, that is an impressive feat in itself. Typically, vegan food gets a bad rep for being bland, flavorless, and just downright hard to eat. That’s fair too when you try a bite of tofu and realize it essentially takes like mushy dust. But not if you hit up Pattycake. They were able to disguise the vegan qualities so well that even the most diehard chocolate chip cookie fan couldn’t distinguish a difference!
