*Puts on tin foil hat*
During the coin toss of the Oklahoma v. Georgia Rose Bowl game, one ref made the grave error of misidentifying the fake OU for the real OSU otherwise known as Ohio State. While it may have been the nerves of reffing the Rose Bowl fearing for your life that Georgia will win sending rogue Oklahoma fans running after them, we live in America so we must, instead, resort to conspiracy.
This time Ohio State is the culprit.
It very well might be possible that the nerves got the best of the ref, but he has been reffing for a long time, why make this mistake now? Ohio State has not gone to the Rose Bowl since 2010 and the Rose Bowl is not held anywhere near Ohio. Likewise, both Georgia and Oklahoma are wearing jerseys that could look similar to that of Ohio State, Georgia being white and Oklahoma being red–why not confuse Georgia with Ohio?
Therefore the only logical reason why the ref would mistake Oklahoma for Ohio State is because he was put up to the task by an fan or even player from Ohio State.
The much known beef between Oklahoma and Ohio State after Baker
Dickfield Mayfield stuck his flag in the middle of Ohio stadium would inspire Ohio to conspire against their lesser OU counterparts. The Rose Bowl is the perfect place for fuckery and the pre-dispositioned scapegoats of the end result of the game are the perfect vulnerable criminal.
While we have yet to come up with a form of payment for this action–whether it’s money, hugs, a nice back rub or an edible arrangements basket, one thing is for sure: if Ohio State can’t play Oklahoma they will gladly fuck with them.
