A Eulogy in Reviews: O Patio

As many of you may know, O Patio is closing down at the end of the month, marking the end of an era for obnoxiously loud frat guys and throwback jerseys. Campus is losing one of its most iconic bars to make space for whatever Campus Partners decides to put there, but that isn’t to say that O Patio won’t be missed. So, to eulogize the loss of this bar, we turned to Yelp.

Ryan D. (2015) – “For OSU Campus nostalgia this is one of the few bars left for me … I just want to say this now… O Patio will be gone soon (November 2015?) as it has been purchased by Campus Partners (the death of all things I loved about OSU’s bar scene). Get to O Patio while you can.”

Jeez. Some foreshadowing, huh?

Rawlins R. (2017) – Came here after The Game in 2016 and it was a pig sty. I’m not sure if it was due to the fact that they had been open all day or if the bar just didn’t care about cleanliness. Being a decade or so out of college didn’t make me feel old until I realized I had to relieve myself on top of over flowed toilets that others had backed up. It was really gross.”

Kaz K. (2017) – The O. OSU! This place has food and alcohol, so why do you need to look any further. College kids and 30-something’s congregate here on the weekends. There’s something for everyone here. The bathrooms seem weird.”

Of course, there are more reviews to help you in your sorrow. Check them out here.
