One of the best parts about living on-campus is the insane amount of concert venues near us. Between The Newport, The Schott, Nationwide, Donato’s Basement, Skully’s, and a handful more; there’s practically a show every night of the week for the entire month.
March is in full swing now, so we are looking ahead at the upcoming bands and solo artists coming through the Bus. Here’s what’s going down the second week of March in the world of music in Columbus.
March 8 — Alex Cameron @ A&R Music Bar
Indie’s weirdest weirdo is fresh off a tour opening for The Killers and coming back to Columbus after canceling last year, Lord knows what kinda kooky shit he dreamed up in those few short months…
March 9 — Midnight @ Ace of Cups
These metal masters are as black-spirited as their name implies, don’t miss this city’s fiercest show of the month.
March 10 — Lights @ Newport Music Hall
Dreamy electro-pop is gonna be a perfect start to your Saturday night festivities, after party is on you though.
March 11 — The Dollyrots @ Rumba Cafe
Florida pop-punkers have been in the game nearly twenty years but still sound as fresh as ever.
March 13 — New Basics Brass Band @ Rambling House
There’s good reason these horn blowers have a regular gig at Rambling House, you won’t be disappointed.
March 14 — Demi Lovato & DJ Kahled @ Schottenstein Center
Not sure who decided this was a good pairing for a tour, but we bet that person wears sunglasses indoors.
